Roger Goodell not worried about weather for New York Super Bowl

Of course he's not; he's not playing in it. He'll probably be in some climate controlled VIP box. But if the weather makes for a sloppy or dull game, he will never hear the end of it. Same if anyone gets injured because of the field conditions - we've already seen that with RGIII.

Exactly. He'll be inside a suite wondering why only 12,000 people showed up to watch 2 teams not named New York play in 33 degrees and rain for $2500.

As the Cowboys won't be there - I'm not worried either.

If the weathers turns warm, well, it won't be the first mudbowl.

When the league announced this game site awhile back, there was debate over whether or not this game should be played in outdoors. At the time it was a fairly even split between people who thought the game should be played in warmer conditions (or even simply a dome if it had to be a cold-weather city), or played in the cold like any other game would potentially be played in a northern city this time of year. But because Goodell is who he is, I would guess that anything that went wrong weather-wise will be blamed on him, even by those who thought a cold-weather game was a good idea to begin with.

Goodell is an idiot; please go away.

They were talking about the cold weather giving the game a "classic" feel. I think the only thing the cold will do is limit the offenses, make the game low scoring and boring and freeze the crap out of a bunch of Super Bowl fans. This will end up being a one and done.

Lets see, $2500.00 to sit in an average seat, roids frozen to the hard plastic, ice shavings in your beer and cold nachos with snow flakes on 'em.......or for the same money:

A new flat screen with state of the art surround sound, 2 fridge loads of beer, catered hot snacks and a stripper.

If people do not want to watch the Super Bowl outdoors then they don't have to buy a ticket.

Heck even if the temperature is -20 degrees fahrenheit some guy will be sitting in the stands wearing only body paint.

The playing conditions are the same for both teams no matter where they play.

What matters to many fans is that if they are going to spend a week or 2 before and after the Super Bowl they want to make sure that the city the Super Bowl is held in has plenty of places to visit and things to do. They will also want plenty of great restaurants .

Whose dumb idea was this, anyway?

Baddell doesn't worry about anything. Worrying would require a functioning brain.

Exactly. The worst-case scenario is a winter storm that closes down New York City. That would make Super Bowl weekend quite the trainwreck.

Goodell might not survive the New Orleans super bowl this year, why worry about next year....
