08:30 PM ET 01.24 | Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco has really blossomed this postseason and has silenced the maniacal laughter of those mocking his belief that he is an elite quarterback. Truth is, there are few quarterbacks in NFL history that have put together a more impressive single postseason and Flacco is just three touchdowns away from NFL history. Entering his Super Bowl XLVII matchup against the San Francisco 49ers, Flacco has eight touchdowns and zero interceptions. That stat line alone is impressive and puts Flacco in elite company - there is that "E" word again. Five quarterbacks have thrown at least eight touchdowns in a single postseason and each of those signal-callers has gone on to hoist the Lombardi Trophy, per ESPN Stats and Info. Among those five quarterbacks are names like Joe Montana and Steve Young. If Flacco can find the end zone four times on Super Bowl Sunday, he would stand alone as the quarterback with the most touchdown passes in one postseason.

Flacco has been good in the playoffs, but history will have to wait after the Super Bowl results.
