09:52 PM ET 01.24 | Once a surprise team in the Eastern Conference, the Atlanta Hawks have won just four of their last eight games and were struggling to put together a winning streak. It hasn't helped that the team has been dealing with a banged up team, including injuries to starters Al Horford and Devin Harris, plus a season-ending ACL injury to guard Lou Williams. In the end, it always comes back to the head coach. Larry Drew told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that he's not thinking about the team picking up the final year of his contract after this season, nor is he thinking about the potential of getting the boot mid-season. "I made up my mind going into the season that my focus was just to do the best I can," Drew told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "The normal thing would be to look over your shoulder but I made up my mind, given my situation, that I'm just going to go out and coach every game. Just do what I can. If it works out, it works out. If it does not, it does not."

Drew was NEVER a HC material. Hawks just don't wanna spend top dollars for a REAL coach.
