11:00 AM ET 01.25 | Philadelphia Flyers winger Scott Hartnell will miss four to eight weeks after suffering a broken foot on Tuesday against the New Jersey Devils. General manager Paul Holmgren told the media on Thursday that Hartnell could miss up to two months after breaking the fourth metatarsal on his left foot after taking shot from teammate Kimmo Timmonen. The Flyers signed veteran winger Mike Knuble on Thursday to help ease the loss of Hartnell.

Great to have Knuble back. Might be nice to see what Laughton can do, also.

I like Knuble, but he isn't Hartnell....this is a huge loss I think

Maybe if they bought him one of those clown wigs?

January 25, 2013  11:33 AM ET

He won't be back in 4 weeks. Two months minimum.

No he isn't and yes it is. Briere should be back soon, so that will help some. But, the Flyers need some offensive production from someone not named Giroux. Last night was a good step, but they need to pick up their game.

It's a tough loss for the team. I have always liked his intensity and you're right, they have to step up.

Lot of that going around, taking a shot and hitting your own teammate.

I'd take him on my team anyday.

So do the ice bunnies always stand behind the players on the ice during the anthem at WC?

He has come to life after Carter and Richards were moved but that could be the side effects of playing with Claude G.

I didn't see the game, I was playing at a benefit...(the only thing I know how to do, may as well use it to help people)
