12:35 PM ET 01.25 | Bellator welterweight champion Ben Askren defended his title on Spike TV last night at Bellator 86 in Thackerville, Oklahoma. Askren, the former NCAA Division I national wrestling champion and freestyle Olympian, savaged Summer Series tournament winner Karl Amoussou over the course of three rounds. Using takedowns, smothering top control and improved ground and pound, Askren forced a doctor stoppage between rounds three and four when Amoussou's left eye was swollen completely shut. "I told you guys that it was just a matter of time before my hands got some power in them," Askren said. "I dominate positionally, and my hands [have] power too. Welterweights anywhere in the world better watch out, I'm coming."
