02:00 PM ET 01.25 | The Philadelphia Flyers recalled defenseman Andreas Lilja from the team's American Hockey League affiliate, the Adirondack Phantoms, on Friday morning. Lilja had been assigned to Adirondack prior to the start of the regular season. The move was made due to an assumed injury to defenseman Andrej Meszaros on Thursday night. Meszaros left the game prior to the third period and was seen by reporters after the contest wearing a sling on his left arm. He would not answer questions at the time. With Meszaros potentially out for an unknown period of time, Lilja will step in to give the already injury depleted Flyers some semblance of depth.

Meszaros is having no luck these days. I hope this isn't an indication that he's going to be perpetually injury prone for his career.
