07:24 PM ET 01.25 | With the New York Jets rebuilding, again, there have been swirling rumors regarding the bold new direction of the franchise. New GM John Idzik was non-committal with regards to cornerback Darrelle Revis at his introductory press conference, saying he has yet to examine the roster. As he is far-and-away the team's best player, Revis was not delighted to hear this. He tweeted that he was "speechless" over the speculation that he could be on his way out of New York. Things have now gotten as far as what the Jets may be looking for in order to deal the multi-year Pro Bowler. Mike Freeman of CBS Sports reported that the team is looking to acquire a first and a second-round pick for the All-Pro cornerback.

Might first determine if he can still play.

Based on those terms it sounds like he won't be going anywhere.

can't see anyone offering that with his knee situation, plus the money he will demand, and renegotiate the next year, and renegotiate, and renegotiate....

The Jets are $19 million over the cap ( more than any team in the NFL ). The Jets must owe him a lot of money to be so desperate to get rid of him.

They'll take a first and forth or fifth depending on the position of the Team! Seahawks or Atlanta would jump at that! Did I say Seahawks, isn't that where what's his name! Never mind came from?

They might even throw in Sanchez and pick up Flynn, Nahhhhhh! Pete Carroll is not that stupid is he?

They won't get that for Revis, even if he were healthy and had a reasonable salary. And they won't get a thing for Tebow. The Jets have painted themselves into a corner they will not soon be able to get out of.

Desperately seeking ...

They are the Jets after all.
