07:42 AM ET 01.26 | Thursday was a day off for the Lakers, a time to recover from an 0-3 trip after returning to Los Angeles early in the morning from Memphis. But it was a very busy day for Mike D'Antoni. The Lakers' coach was given a vote of confidence during a face-to-face meeting with Lakers General Manager Mitch Kupchak and Executive Vice President Jim Buss, The Times has learned. Despite a shaky start with the Lakers, D'Antoni was told to do whatever he wanted with the lineup. Buss and Kupchak support him. He was told to do whatever was best for the offense. Buss and Kupchak support him.

As someone that's witnessed D'Antoni's coaching with and without talent I'll tell you first hand the sooner you get him outta there the sooner the team gets it together. He has no clue about coaching. He just happened to be around when Nash got hot... but now that Nash's old he's being exposed like Jeremy Lin.

'exposed'? he was a popular player, but no one said he was a superstar. There is nothing to expose. Barely a rookie in terms of games played for goodness sake.

The thing here is Dwight Howard....
Sure Dumbtoni plays a part as he wants shooters not elite big men.
If Dwight says he will resign then Dumbtoni should be fired and replaced by Nate McMillian or Bernie.
If Howard isn't sure you trade his ****, and still fire Dumbtoni.
2 teams worthy of acquiring Howard: mavs and hawks.
Mavs get: Howard, lakers get Chris Kaman,OJ Mayo & Marion.
Hawks get Howard, lakers get Horford & Korver.
The mavs deal makes more sense for both teams.
Cuban is gonna reach out to Howard in the off season anyway, the lakers get an expiring contract in Kaman,a young all star caliber player in Mayo and a good wing player vet in Marion.
For Dallas they get Howard, and he can dominate down low without having to share the paint with Dirk, being Dirk is a perimeter player.
Dallas may miss the play of Mayo but they won't miss Marion much, they have young promising Jae Crowder and they will have some cap space to fill in some holes.
