Mets reportedly interested in Roy Oswalt

He's still worth a chance on an incentive based contract. Then again, he's only had one really good year in the last four years. I would say it's time to retire, but who retires at 35 when you can still make that kind of cash.

All you are doing right now as a Met organization is waiting on younger players to develop, so sign Roy and Shawn to take up space this year, because you are not going to be contenders for a while anyway.

For Oswalt its a matter of time before he hit the retirement,,,, he would like to get big offer and nobody would likely fall for it!!!!

wiseup: The mets just unloaded Jason Bay this offseason after a costly R.O.I. on his contract. The Mets refused to offer a contract to RA Dickey, but now they are considering offering a contract to Roy Oswalt, who has seen better seasons. None of them has come in the last three seasons. If the Mets offer him a contract he would be a fool to turn it down. Then we can listen to Mets front office complain because Oswalt didn't contribute to there expectations.

It has to do with playing for a team located in New York. So yes, it has everything to do with baseball.

Blommberg does soem dumb ass stuff but overall is a damn good mayor.
For the most part, I agree with governor's psoition on weapons but also hope they prosecute any caught with banned weapons to the fullest extent of the law.
And, I don't like taxes either but until industries like Big Oil, etc... take less profits and bring down the cost of goods and services we will all continue to pay high taxes.

ExxonMobil (XOM)-- $41 billion for Exxon last year, $25.7 billion for BP (BP) -- even the smaller ConocoPhillips (COP) managed to tuck away $12.4 billion for a rainy day.

those were profits and not revenues, btw
