Report: Some Jets execs prefer trading Antonio Cromartie before Darrelle Revis

10:55 AM ET 01.27 | Instead of shopping Darrelle Revis, maybe the Jets should put fellow CB Antonio Cromartie on the trading block. Don't laugh, it's not such a far-fetched idea. There's a small segment of the organization that would rather trade Cromartie than Revis, according to a source. Let's think about this for a second: Cromartie's trade value never will be higher; he's coming off arguably his best year. A Cromartie trade would clear $8.2 million in cap room (only $2.5 million in dead money); a Revis trade would actually cost them cap room ($12 million in dead money, as opposed to his current cap charge of $9 million).

Trade 'em both!!

The feel good part in that move is that no matter what city they trade him to , he will be near one of his kids.

Does the recipient team have to pay for all his kids and Baby's Mamas? That could get really expensive....

And the comedy that is the Jets continues. Trade Sanchez, axe Rex and bring in some real leaders. The only stand up guy they had, spent all season standing on the side lines. He might not be much on the field but at least Tebow had some character.

QUOTE(#6):

The Jets need to explore all options, including dealing anyone on the roster. They need to part ways with Sanchez, as it's obvious his run in NY is done.A few years back, they played good D and ran the ball. That worked.I hate the Jets, but they've gotten away from who they are.

Perhaps, but if you look at the last forty years of the franchise, this is pretty much who they are and those few years they played great D and ran the ball were the anomaly.

Might not make him feel so good, though.

Someone needs to tell the Jets to run something besides thier mouth

Who gave the orders to spend all that money on 2 cornerbacks? Rex. Like his brother now with St. Louis, HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAhahahahahah, what a fool Jeff Fisher was for signing Rob the blob. Anyways Rex is like his brother , he wants the highest paid CB to be on his team since he believes the NFL is nothing more than a pass happy league, then he forgets about the run defense and the cornerbacks become irrelevant

Why whould be change what we're doing we've been doing it well for almost 50 Years, Woody Johnson!!!

There ya go. Woody has enough of a history now to fairly judge him on owning a NFL team.

The Jets payroll department would really appreciate him being traded. They have to sort out child support of $30,000 a month to 8 different babies mommas. This trade alone would cut their workload by 10%.

QUOTE(#9):

Too funny. In a few years when Cromartie is out of the league I bet we will get to read about how broke he is and which prison he will be incarcerated in for failure to pay child support.

Then the league could use him as a cautionary tale at the annual rookie symposium.

They need to package the worthless QBs in any deal. Pawn off Sanchize and Tebow to the CFL for a pound of back bacon to be named later.
