Gruden to Dallas rumors are 'ridiculous'

Nothing surprises me about the Cowboys anymore. Being a fan for about 45 years, I thought I had seen it all, until the past few years when this team has become a circus, starting with Jones's comment about "even negative attention is good for the Cowboys".

I just shake my head at any comments made by Jones.......those one can actually understand.........like the "glory hole" statement among many. When JJ should have been looking for guidance from the Rooney family, or those well established and successful, on how to establish a team, he instead became buddies with Al Davis, who had been in the latter stages of dementia (in my opinion).

I don't think the Cowboys will be successful until JJ relinquishes his control over being GM, Head Coach, and other titles he holds dear.

What do you expect from Fansided?? Since when do you need to be intelligent to be a sports writer??? Just be glad they aren't doing something honorable like being in the military....

JJ and him would kill each other, it would get ugly!

Dallas is hot in the threads lately....makes for good soap drama.

so in other words.... dallas will likely be the average team they've been the last decade for another decade. JJ has probably got another 8-10 yrs of what he'd consider productive years left in him. then we can all look forward to his son stephen taking control (more of the same.)

I agree in principal Yogi, but Al Davis had forgotten more about football than JJ will ever know before his passing. It's too bad that Al held on too long and played a key role in the demise of the Raiders because it tarnished his legacy of actually building them (and the AFL to a certain extent) into an NFL power.

Probably, but just more senility, i.e. Al Davis. He and Al were buddies since JJ bought the Cowboys.

You're right as well.

Lets not forget (rarely acknowledged) that Dungy inherited a solid core from Sam Wyche. People forget Sam drafted/signed big name players (Sapp, Brooks, Lynch) that contributed to the successes Tony and Jon enjoyed. Loved Dungy, just sayin'
