07:19 AM ET 01.28 | Heading into the offseason, the Broncos go back to the drawing board trying to identify the line between youth and experience. "You're always going to have tough decisions," said John Elway, the Broncos' executive vice president of football operations. ... Elway, who attended Senior Bowl practices last week in Mobile, Ala., with Broncos director of player personnel Matt Russell, said he sees the annual draft producing the "core of our team." But he will be open to signing free agents who can help strengthen the roster. ... Elway's goal remains the same as he enters his third year in Denver's front office: Compete for the Vince Lombardi Trophy every year and do it by stacking draft classes.

Elway Youth. Didn't they try something like that in Germany like 70, 80 years ago?

I best he wished he had Tebow in that OT, all he needed was a field goal!

Shut up Clown... Unless Teblow can kick a FG, he was not needed anywhere near that game!

Of course not Denver was not at the bottom of their Division like your Eagles.
Elway has turned around that team. Bad clock management in the 4th Quarter in the last 3 minutes hurt the team and why the loss. Denver has gotten better and better under Elway's direction.
As a long time Broncos fan, we need more youth been saying that for awhile especially in the Defensive Secondary.
Denver overachieved than what many analysts predicted before the beginning of the season. No one thought at the beginning of the season, Denver would have double digit wins and have the best record in the AFC. No one predicted it.
That is because of Elway.

Sure Mr. Elway. Now for the truth. You are $5 million under next years cap with your existing roster. You have some holes to fill and free agents cost money. You have $41 million tied up in Peyton, Elvis and Chump next year. You have no choice but to go young, it is about the money....

Is every youth movement led by a 36 year old QB?

The only move that Elway has made that I disagree with is the hiring of John Fox... the guy has NEVER been a good coach. At the time that the Broncos hired him they had the second worst record in the NFL, Fox's team was the only one worse.
With the run, run, run, punt Fox offense in place the Broncos will be watching Super Bowls from home for the foreseeable future.

The Broncos can be a young or old as they want but as long as they have a play-it-safe coach they won't accomplish much.

Let's do a run down here:
Start of the 2011 season, Elway said this team was a playoff team. They start 0-4. Tebow comes in, the team gets to the playoffs...and wins the wild card game. The defense gets all the credit.
Off season, Tebow's traded and they sign Manning. Elway says Manning is the final piece they need.
2012, they get to the playoffs, and win 1 less playoff game than Tebow did, the defense is blamed (because it just can't be Manning!!!) and now this team needs a complete overhaul? This is what you get when you have a qb (great as he is) that has a long, long history of LOSING the big games. Yes I know he won 1 Super Bowl. But he was 1-3 in bowl games in college, 0-4 against Florida (biggest rival) and in all his years in the nfl only 1 ring. At some point, ya gotta look at Manning....

Denver had 3 turnovers in that game. A fumble and 2 Manning interceptions. And you are a couple missteps on clock management for the loss? Sorry but 3 drives killed by turnovers hurts more.

And how'd that finish for you. Remind me who has more playoff wins in the last 2 years. Tebow or Manning...

I think I'm on your side.
I'm just sayin' that Elway brought Manning in so he should get some blame too when Manning does his usual playoff flop.

Oh, and we all know it's Tebow (1 - 0).

LOL yep and I agree with you about Manning. He's as known for losing big games as he is for throwing TD's. Reminds me of the first 15 years or so of Elway's playing career...
