07:29 AM ET 01.28 | Scott Sizemore may have learned some challenging news over the weekend. The A's are not ready to commit to [Sizemore] as their second baseman. Manager Bob Melvin said Sunday at FanFest that Sizemore, who was a third baseman at this time a year ago but who got hurt in spring training and missed the season, has many plusses. "As a Major League baseball player, you have to look at it every day that this is my job; you have to fight all the time," Melvin said. "So it's Sizemore, Adam Rosales and I expect Jemile Weeks to come back and play to his ability. And just because a guy starts on opening day doesn't mean that (someone else) won't be in the lineup the next day." ... Weeks, the starter a year ago after a strong rookie season, fell off so badly that he was sent back to the minors at one point.

Oakland will regress this year. It was all puppy dogs and sunshine last season...reality will set in this year, as wins will be harder to come by.

I think Seattle is going to be better than the predictions.

as long the A's use the same type of agressive approach in game in and game out, wins shouldn't be hard to get for the team,,,,the second basemen weeks, would need to disciplined himself IF he really wants stay in the majors,,

the second basemen,,Sizemore would need to work harder than last season IF he thrully wants to play for a top major league team,,,
