Market for Subban heating up, even in Winnipeg

He strikes me as a 'pain in the ass.'

The Flyers don't need him. They have a couple of good defensemen playing with the Phantoms. Better to call them up if needed.

Its funny how that makes so much sense, but it seems the teams would rather trade their own talent for somebody elses question mark.

I dont get how he can be tradeable. The other teams wont want to pay the kind of salary he wants. Give up assets and then give him big bucks? I see him missing this year.

Somebody will pay. A first round pick by a contending team would probably be enough, maybe a lower prospect for good measure. If he truly winds up being Chelios 2.0, he's worth the cash.

I agree, especially the "if" part. If Montreal can get a 1st & 2nd rounder for him, get rid of him. In a new environment, with the right coaching, Subban could be a great aquisition. Signing & staying in Montreal could prove detrimental. He may have burnt some bridges in the dressing room.

a first round pick from a team in the playoff hunt will not be sufficient to land Subban. Prospect or not.

the wings are going to trade for a guy that wants to be amongst the top paid defensemen on the league, despite having nothing on his resume that indicates that he should be making that kind of coin? I don't think so.
