Drogba could be headed to Galatasaray

01:15 PM ET 01.28 | Former Chelsea star forward Didier Drogba moved on to China to play for Shanghai Shenhua a few months ago, but it appears that the 34-year-old could be heading back to Europe. More specifically, Drogba is being strongly linked to Turkish club Galatasaray, who announced they are in negotiations with the striker. Galatasaray confirmed the news in a statement to the Istanbul Stock Exchange on Monday. If Drogba heads to Turkey to play for Galatasaray, he will join Netherlands international Wesley Sneijder, who transferred to the team just a week ago. Drogba and Sneijder would provide a boost to Gala, who is set to face off against German club Schalke next month in the Champions League round of 16.
