01:17 PM ET 01.28 | The Manchester United soccer club just saw their value shoot through the roof. Forbes Magazine reported on Monday that the English club is the most valuable sports franchise in the world and is the first to exceed a value of an incredible $3 billion. More specifically, Man U is valued at $3.3 billion. They are $1.2 billion ahead of the second most valuable sports franchise in the world - the Dallas Cowboys. It is mind-boggling to see a sports franchise receive such a high value, but when you consider everything involved it shouldn't come as a surprise. American football may be the most popular sport in the States, but soccer is the most popular sport in the world and Manchester United is one of the sport's most well-known clubs.
