02:33 PM ET 01.28 | President Barack Obama touched briefly on the prospect of head injuries amongst college football players, saying that although he loves the sport, he thinks changes will eventually need to be made in order to protect the players involved.

Obama was asked about violence in college sports as part of a long interview by The New Republic. The President said that he's more concerned with the well-being of college players than NFL players, who he feels are wealthier and have more power with regards to changing rules to make their sport safer. Obama said he'd "like to see the NCAA think about" making changes to protect its players.

If you look closely, you can see clear signs of the indwelling of Saban. pity. Otherwise, it's a nice photograph of the Pres with the BCS NCs, aka Bama.

If Obama had an imaginary son, he'd look like Lennay Kekua.

I told you Coach Saint Saban can smile.

Obama is wasting his time. IMO, he is on the right track to improving safety in college football, but it won't get through the congress!!! LOL.

pretty sure he should be working on far more important things than college football safety

Dirty players who head hunt and get flagged should be ejected from the game,, strike two and they should serve a two game suspension,, strike three and they should be forbidden to partake in the sport for life.

I am. I am paying $435 in taxes a month thanks to this clown. He's an awful president and the republicans should be ashamed they couldn't find a candidate with a pulse to run against him either time. I've flushed turds with more economic sense than this buffoon and that were a lot more interesting than either McCain or Romney were.

Blah blah blah we all are paying the "increase" in payroll taxes which is not an increase it's an expiration of the tax Holliday of 2012 when your taxes were cut. Sorry you don't want to pay for SS/Medicare. If you are one of the people who had their taxes increase because you are making over 450k p/yr (or 250k in certain circumstances) then I will light a candle to recognize your sacrifice.

piratey, get use to it my friend, because if the republicans can't find a good candidate to run in 2016, then Hillary is a "shoe in ("shoo in")!!!!
