03:18 PM ET 01.28 | Scott Pioli was fired as the Kansas City Chiefs general manager earlier in January, shortly after Andy Reid was brought in as the new head coach, replacing Romeo Crennel. Pioli was in the process of going through the draft board before he got the boot, and he had his eye on Texas A&M left tackle Luke Joeckel as the top underclassman available, according to Peter King.
