Miami's quarterback of the future

08:08 AM ET 01.29 | The negative press from an NCAA investigation didn't seem to slow Al Golden and his staff at Miami. Ten players from 2012 were ranked as either a four- or five-star recruit according to Rivals.com, and running back Duke Johnson showed just how valuable he can be with his impressive freshman campaign. ... So what's in store for the Hurricanes' 2013 class? Golden and his staff believe they have the program's quarterback of the future in Kevin Olsen, a 6-2, 195-pound pocket passer from New Jersey who is the brother of former Miami tight end Greg Olsen. He may not have some of the tremendous physical tools that a lot of other blue-chip prospects have, but he has the type of frame to add weight and physically mature into an elite signal-caller.

Every 3-4 years we see an article with the following headline...."Miami finds QB of the future". And guess what. They still suck. So who cares. 4 years from now they will still have zero ACC titles. Maybe they should go back to the Big East. Maybe they could win that conference....

Don't worry pal , one day your program will also feel the effects of illegal recruiting ... And everything will come full circle . The Canes will be dominant in a few years once the NCAA stops this B.S witch hunt investigation.

You've waited your whole life to be able to talk that kind of trash haven't you, danimal? Miami's on the rise and will be back dominating the cfb landscape again within the next 24 months or so, bank it! And we'll see what you have to say the morning of September 8th after the Canes send you back to the world's largest trailerpark with your tail between your legs.

Please. Miami has been on probation more times in the last 20 years than most career criminals. They were in trouble at the start of the 90's. Again in the mid 90's. Again right around 2000. Again in the mid 90's. AGAIN last year. Again now. But hey, it's all just a witch hunt right...

You Miami fans were saying the exact same thing when Randy Shannon was hired. Said the same thing when Al Golden was hired. It's like crying wolf. You guys go on and on constantly about how "Miami's going to dominate again....really" that no one is buying it. How about this. Win your FIRST ACC title, and then talk. Been waiting for a decade to see Miami even make it to the ACC title game. No better than 3rd place in a decade. Maybe yall need to go back to the Big East...

Who would you rank above em? Florida State maybe. Though Florida beat on em in their last meeting. Being that Miami hasn't finished higher than 3rd place in a WEAK division in...a DECADE tells me that they'd rank well below Florida as far as best teams in the state. At this point, I'd put Miami as the second or third best team...in the city of Miami.

Actually I didn't have a thing deleted. I'm not afraid of what a crazed Miami fan has to say. Facts are on my side. Last decade for Miami.....zero division titles.....zero conference titles......zero national titles. I rather enjoy seeing you guys get pissed off with the "Miami will rise again!!!" crap. Keep waiting for it to happen....

Blowing smoke? Remind me. Which team went to a BCS game last year? Miami fans have been blowing smoke since 2002. And not once were you able to correct anything I said about Miami, due to the fact that it's accurate.

What SVT said sums it up, when UF passes us in national titles then UF fans can talk. I just want to point one thing out, Miami is the only school that has won a national title in every decade since the 80's. All they need is one title before 2020 to keep that streak going.

svt, as an FSU guy, you know I respect Miami, but damn, some of your fans on here are drinking a little too much of the Orange Kool-Aid.
