The Ducks will come east to Charlottesville on Sep. 7, 2013, and the Cavaliers will head west to Eugene for a game during the 2016 season. Oregon replaces Penn State on Virginia's 2013 schedule, but replaced their trip to Happy Valley with a home game in order to have eight home games.

Of course it's news!!! At least Oregon and Virginia have the gonads to travel for a "home and home" OOC game. Actually there are quite a few of the 12 PAC teams that travel to play OOC game. Please take note Florida!!!!! :-)

Virginia cancelled a scheduled road game against Penn State in order to schedule Oregon at home this year. (hosted Penn State in 2012). Watch them pull the same stunt next year.

I know, but at least give Oregon credit for traveling back to Virginia for a game in 2013. I just wish the SEC (excluding LSU) would schedule a "good home and home" OOC game!!!

Bad move on Virginia's part. The ACC's bad reputation comes from lots of OOC losses, so what does 4-8 UVA do? It schedules a top 5 team! Of the FIVE top 10 opponents the ACC has scheduled for the first two weeks of 2013, the ACC team will be the underdog in all five. Only Clemson vs. UGA has a realistic shot of winning (but probably won't).
One of the many reasons the ACC looks so bad is that a team like Duke schedules Stanford, BC schedules USC, and of course 6-6 VT schedules two-time NC winners Bama. At least schedule teams on your own level! The ACC needs some high profile WINS, not more losses.

LOL! Traveling across the country to play VIRGINIA, is NOT something to brag about. It won't help their SOS at all.

The only "quality" wins by the ACC, for the immediate future, will come from FSU or Clemson. Until someone else steps up, it's basically a 2 team league now.

Clemson vs UGA has me worried bc they have a heck of an offense and UGA is completely rebuilding defense. Makes me nervous that's for sure. Still glad they're playing though. the dawgs have Clemson, LSU, and SCe all in the first month next season. Yikes.

It's a good move for UVa from a revenue standpoint.

You are right!!! Georgia did play Arizona State in a home and home in 2008 and 2009 and Tennessee has play some 12 Pac teams in the past.

Probably true. Also, I poorly phrased that ("high profile WINS") - I should've said BCS/AQ wins. So, Duke shouldn't schedule Stanford (a common top 10 team these days), but 1-11 Colorado. Duke COULD win that game, and if they do it's at least a P12 opponent. Of course, Duke could also lose that game, but at least it's still a BCS opponent and not W&M or Richmond.
