03:11 PM ET 01.29 | The Pittsburgh Penguins and Consol Energy Center will host the 2014 CCM/USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game on Sept. 26, 2013. The game will feature the Top-40 American born players who are eligible for the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. The rosters for the game will be drawn from the United States Hockey League, the U.S. National Development Program, the Canadian Hockey League and U.S High Schools, Prep Schools and NCAA Programs. This will be the second running of the game, as the inaugural contest was held in September of 2012 at Buffalo's First Niagara Center. The rosters for the game will be announced in August, with the coaching staffs being selected before the 2013 NHL Draft.

why would you not do the game before the draft? thus giving increased visibility to players ahead of the draft? doesn't mean that they'll all want to attend, but certainly alot of the bubble kids could benefit immensely from this.

They are, the game is in 2013 for the 2014 draft.

a year before it and before any reliable scouting lists are published. try again to convince me why this is of interest. Host it in late april or may and it might actually be of value. Just my 0.02$
