Rick Hawn paid in full after sponsor dispute

09:19 PM ET 01.29 | When Bellator lightweight Rick Hawn got into a public dispute with Mark Gingrich of HTFU apparel after a cancelled check, the MMA world responded. Hawn said Gingrich didn't pay him because he lost to Michael Chandler at Bellator 86. Gingrich claims Hawn didn't honor the terms of their verbal agreement. Whatever the case, Gingrich decided to pay him after public outcry, but not before Bellator decided to step in and pay him what he was owed. "When Bjorn Rebney heard about the whole situation, he was upset about it and he decided that Bellator would cover the total cost of what I was missing," Hawn said. Bellator paid the missing $1,500, so when the sponsor check finally arrived, Hawn stated he intended to use the extra money for charity. Gingrich, however, is still not happy how everything turned out. "I felt that the verbal agreement that we had was not lived up to, (and) I canceled the check based upon that," Gingrich said. "They made it look at lot worse than it actually was. The company has taken nothing but threats and accusations. My company's image is being jeopardized, all for $1,500."
