08:19 AM ET 01.30 | Ryan Callahan, the Rangers' captain, has earned his "C," blocking shots, killing penalties and playing on the top power play unit -- and he may have been lost for some time thanks to a shoulder injury. [Callahan] exited just over four minutes into the third period with his left arm hanging limp from his shoulder, the result of a fight he was grabbed into by the Flyers' Max Talbot. The Rangers and coach John Tortorella had no update on Callahan's status, but he did not return and left in what appeared to be serious pain. ... [Now] Callahan is out, and when he returns is anyone's guess at this point. After he skated into the locker room, both Marc Staal and Marian Gaborik took tripping penalties.

Talbot did a good job of recognizing his injury on that. I bet a lot of guys would have just continued throwing haymakers.

And NY got some of their best on those power plays

actually, I thought Talbot was being a real jerk. If you watch the reply, he was yanking and twisting his shoulder

I felt bad for Callahan. Looked like his arm was just "hanging on." Hate when anyone goes out for an extended period of time cause of an injury, expecially cause of a fight.

Well I think in the heat of a fight, he did a good job holding up once he realized Cally was hurt. Guys are always yanking on arms and shoulders during a fight, who the hell would think a shoulder would actually pop out doing that?! Most guys are just trying to avoid getting punched.

I would've. Knock out a division rival's captain? Pfh, gimme a crowbar and Nancy Kerrigan's ex-husband's phone number.

maybe, but I just think Talbot is a jerk, and that is the basis for my opinion.
I know, these guys yank arms like they're starting a lawn mower...but Talbot was twisting and yanking...whatever, it's part of the game. But it shows me again what a punk he is...why not try that crap on a guy that would really hit him back....

Yea, especially the part where Callahan goes after Talbot from behind. I'm sorry he's hurt but he started the fight with Talbot.

for the record, Talbot's gloves came off first....probably because he saw it was someone he had chance against
