12:36 PM ET 01.30 | The UFC will have a new division in the near future. The organization is planning on adding strawweights (115 pounds). "As the sport continues to grow and we go into these other markets like Latin America, Asia, yes, we will eventually open up a lighter weight division. Which is a great thing. They need to add a cruiserweight division, 230 or 235. Think of all the interesting matchups we could see between big LHWs and small HWs.

Word. Not having a "medium heavyweight division" (Dana is said to have an aversion to the term "cruiserweight") at 230/5 is crazy. You can then kick HW up to 275. I think you'll improve the action at the top end of HW as well; if the big guys don't have to cut so much, you might see them more dynamic with a few more pounds on them.
