04:20 PM ET 01.30 | The Alabama Crimson Tide released an official response to the story circulating around allegations that a supplier of deer antler spray had met with three Alabama players days before the BCS National Championship Game. Alabama officials stated that S.W.A.T.S co-founder Christopher Key ignored cease-and-desist orders and went ahead to meet with defensive end Quinton Dial and linebackers Alex Watkins and Adrian Hubbard on the eve of the 2012 BCS National Championship Game. Deer antler spray is a banned NCAA substance.

They are talking specifically about the LSU game in January 2012. The problem with all this is all the players passed a drug test.

..... that is unless the REC somehow threw a monkey wrench into the procedure! (evil laughter, muhahahahahahahaha).

I wonder what deer antler fungus does???

Causes Bama RB's to run right through Irish defenders at will.

Lance Armstrong work on the Bama staff by chance?

College football cheating. What a shocker!!

January 30, 2013  05:11 PM ET

Huh!!! Very interesting, but I still give Bama the benefit of the doubt, as this is still an "Alleged" story that, "Christopher Key, the SWATS co-owner, told ESPN's Joe Schad on Wednesday, he personally witnessed about five Alabama players spray what he sold them into their mouths.

The key ingredient in it is a metabolite of HGH.

These SWATS guys are getting a lot of FREE PR out of all this. That's just what snake oil salesmen like them want. The FDA needs to investiagte 'em and shut 'em down.

But it's deer HGH. No proof that works on humans and no studies of side effects either. It's just a modern day snake oil!

LMFAO, you call it "snake oil" on this site, but on the NFL thread you want to hang Ray Lewis for (alleged) using it!!! What is it??? You can't have it both ways!!!!

Then why do you want to hang Ray Lewis for (alleged) using it, if it doesn't work on humuns????

Why not? Even if it's snake oil, Ray may have still tried to get a benefit out of it. Whether he got one or not doesn't really matter.

This seems to me to be like a designer steriod. No test for it yet but it could still be a PED. BALCO was busted. The guys behinds SWATS need to be busted too! Doesn't forgive Ray if he used it and it is ilegal in the NFL.

What???? If it doesn't work on humans, then who care if Ray Lewis or Bama football players use it or not, as it wouldn't have been a benefit to Ray and the NFL wouldn't have it on their illegal drug list. That's an other question,!!! Is it on the NFL do not use list????

January 30, 2013  05:32 PM ET

Ray just needs to come out and say he was duped by some snake oil salesmen. But then he would have to admit he used it and that it didn't work and he may think it did.

That's the question!!! Is "deer anter spray" illegal in the NFL and NCAA?????

Good question! HGH is but the NFL doesn't test for it. But deer antler spray maybe on the don't use list and that's what could get Ray and others in trouble.

Your comment makes no sense whatsoever. Either the "deer anter spray" is legal in the NFL and the NCAA, or it isn't. Now believing Ray Lewis is another story, either you believe him or not!!!
