05:29 PM ET 01.30 | Buffalo Sabres forward Patrick Kaleta was released from the hospital on Wednesday afternoon. Kaleta was admitted after sustaining a punishing blow from Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mike Brown on Tuesday night. Brown was given a two-minute minor for boarding on the play. Kaleta, who has a history of head and neck injuries, left the game with a little over two minutes remaining in the opening period and was unable to return. The injury was described as pertaining to Kaleta's neck and his hospitalization was merely a precaution. There is no time-table for a return and he did not travel with the team to Boston.
