06:18 PM ET 01.30 | New York Rangers captain Ryan Callahan will miss 10-14 days due to a shoulder subluxation sustained in Tuesday night's victory over the Philadelphia Flyers. Callahan suffered the injury while attempting to engage Philadelphia forward Maxime Talbot in a fight following a scrum in front of the New York goal. Callahan pulled Talbot from the pile up, the manner in which Talbot didn't seem too pleased with. After both players dropped their gloves, Callahan awkwardly fell to the ice. Talbot immediately began waiving over the trainers and Callahan was seen favoring his left shoulder while skating to the dressing room. According to the projection, Callahan could miss at least six games.

Admire his heart but .... where is his common sense. He's far too valuable to the Rags to be engaging in such shenanigans.

That time frame seems a bit short for that type of injury....worried about this injury...reading about it..it says one of the major issues is re occurrences due to the weakening of the shoulder..and in many cases surgery is required to strengthen the stretched out ligaments.....

Let's hope he comes back at full strength....and it doesn't affect his effectiveness...he takes the body a lot....

I like Callahan and hope this isn't an injury that's worse than they're predicting.....will be good to see him back on the ice....that being said Talbot should be recognized for showing great sportsmanship in this deal...I was watching the game and he immediately let up and called for help...there are some players that would have taken advantage of that situation but he showed what a stand up guy he is.

It looked worse than what it ended up being so NY has to feel good about the time frame for his return.
