07:39 PM ET 01.30 | After weeks of saying they were content with keeping Rudy Gay and even after making a trade with the Cavaliers to clear up cap space, the Memphis Grizzlies have agreed in principle to trade forward Rudy Gay to the Toronto Raptors. The deal is still hinged on the involvement of a third team, but the belief is when that third team surfaces and agrees to take on guard Jose Calderon, Gay will be headed to Toronto. According to reports, following Gay to Toronto will be center Hamed Haddadi. Tayshaun Prince is headed to Memphis in exchange for Jose Calderon, but the real question surrounds Gay and the Raptors. With Gay now in their lineup, can he help propel them to an Eastern Conference playoff appearance and if he can how far will he take Toronto?

Thanks for the good ole days T. Prince. Glad your going to a playoff team. Your time as a Piston may have ran its course 3 years to long but your still "The Prince of The Palace".

Now as far a Gay making them a playoff team...I dont see it this year.

When you've been a chronic lottery team, of course it is. Once there you can more realistically set loftier goals (ending world hunger, peace among nations, an end to organized religions, etc.)

Playoffs and Canada is like abstinence and Gloria ~ they just don't go together. Albert Einstein - Straight from the Grave!

It's like Toronto's luck changed... from lottery to possible playoffs... Gay on the other hand went from possibly conquering the playoffs to hoping to make it. This is crazy. What a twisted fate! Life is crazy... aint it?
