Moss says Titans blackballed him

08:00 AM ET 01.31 | Randy Moss doubled down on his "greatest ever" statement on Wednesday, and he also looked back on some of his darkest days on the field. Moss made quite an impression on teammates during his eight weeks with the Titans, but he made no difference on the field. He caught only six passes and did not have a touchdown. The Titans went 1-7 down the stretch. So why did the Moss experiment in Tennessee fail? The veteran wide receiver, now with the 49ers, said some of the coaches didn't like him and he was "blackballed." ... "Are you blackballing me because you don't like me, or blackballing me because I can't play? Figure out the two," Moss said. "I don't really know (why Titans coaches didn???t like me). ... And it had nothing to do with Coach Fisher."

Probably didn't want him alienating their preferred caterers.

And yet, he's playing in the Superbowl on Sunday.

Proof that life really is not fair.

No it's not!

I guess he never paused to think it might just be Both (don't like and can't play)!!!

There have been much worse guys to have success...what did Moss really do? Dont recall him going to jail or harming anyone so...I guess I just never met the perfect person *shrugs*

You sound envious.

It does make one wonder why they even picked him up in the first place if they had no plans to use him.

As talented as he was, and in some ways still is, he has an attitude problem that got him traded from the Vikings, the Raiders, the Patriots and then cut by the Vikings. The Titans let him go, too.

It's not criminal, but it is stupid. And, you can't fix stupid.

He'll never understand that his rotten attitude and personality has had a negative effect on his career, not to mention his declined skills make him not even worth dealing with

Same reason Terrell Owens was forced out of the league while he could still play.

He could produce... just not enough to merit putting up with his BS.

From what I saw out of Randy Moss in Oakland, the man only plays when he feels like it.

I wouldn't be surprised if he gave half-hearted effort in Tennessee, leading to the "blackballing".

This^^

I remeber his first time in Minny he was taking plays off, and saying he plays when he wants to.

Well, it's not like they were going to whiteball him ...

I'm pretty sure they did have plans to use him until the moment they realized he was going to be a horrible, malignant locker room cancer. Which was probably about ten seconds after the first time he opened his mouth.

Just when you thought ol' Randy couldn't get any dumber, he goes and shows us that there's no limit on his stupidity.

January 31, 2013  10:41 AM ET

Moss sure has a lot to say this week; what a butt head!

Another thing about taking a chance on older players - the new CBA set the veteran minimum at close to a million. For that price, you're better off taking a chance on an undrafted college player for rookie minimum.

If Moss had half of the work ethic and attitude of Jerry Rice then he would have been the greatest receiver of all time. There is no doubt he had the ability but that's all.

What a clueless idiot. Ignorance is bliss I suppose. Can't believe I will have to root for the Raven this weekend simply out of the fact that seeing Moss with a ring is like seeing the devil holding rosary beads. Just not right.
