08:04 AM ET 01.31 | His post-playing career finds Marshall Faulk back at the Superdome this week -- home to St. Louis' upset loss to the Patriots. People in New England, Faulk was told, believe he still shows bitterness over the loss. And a dislike of the Patriots in his role as an NFL Network commentator. "They misunderstand," Faulk corrected. "Am I over the loss? Yeah, I'm over the loss. But I'll never be over being cheated out of the Super Bowl. That's a different story. I can understand losing a Super Bowl, that's fine ... But how things happened and what took place. Obviously, the commissioner gets to handle things how he wants to handle them but if they wanted us to shut up about what happened, show us the tapes. Don't burn 'em."

Funny. The same could be said about the NFC championship game that same year when the Rams would pipe in loud techno music during the opposing teams offensive huddles so they couldn't hear the play being called.

now the whole world sees why marshall [usually] always picks the pats opposing playoff/teams on NFL-NTWRK.

Regardless of whether the Pats taped the Rams' walkthrough or not, there's no way the Rams should have come close to losing that game. The Rams were infinitely more talented than the Patriots that year, and the game shouldn't have been close.
Belichick outcoached Martz badly that day. Bottom line.

.....and the pats/players simply ''outplayed'' the ramz,.........and the pats should've had a bigger lead too if willie mcguinness wasn't caught holding, [ty laws/-pick-6].

What the hell is going on with all these retired players elbowing and punching their way into the Super Bowl news cycle? Is retirement that awful for players with huge egos?

I think there are so many reporters in New Orleans that everyone that has every been connected with any Super Bowl gets interviewed and asked irrelevant questions. The answers to those questions then get turned into "headlines".
