08:12 AM ET 01.31 | Forgive Stephen Strasburg for looking so forward to spring training. When the right-hander arrives in Viera, Fla., in two weeks for spring training, he will be anticipating the first full season of his young career, all restrictions lifted. Asked about his offseason in a telephone interview Monday night, Strasburg's response was telling: "It's been a month longer than everybody else. I'm [champing] at the bit." Strasburg, 24, went through various stages of coping after he was shut down on Sept. 8 after 159 1/3 innings. ... Four months later, it still lingers -- but less so. "It's still kind of a sore spot, to be honest," he said Monday. "I wish it didn't end up the way it did."

There was no doubt in my mind if he pitches against St. Louis the Nats would have advance further in the playoffs and maybe beyond. In today's free agent market game there are only so many chances you have to win the big prize, so when you have the chance you better take it.

That doesn't matter. Projecting anger onto others is a very common practice.

Speaking of cartoon characters, anyone know who Uncle Ruckus is?... If, you do then it may interest you to know that they are planning to do a full feature, straight to DVD, live action movie on his characrter.
If you don't then google the "Boondocks". And, no, not the Billy Joe Royal song... the cartoon.
