Mt. Westbrook erupts again

08:09 AM ET 02.01 | Russell Westbrook was up to his old tricks Thursday night, taking over in a way Thunder fans might prefer he didn't. Westbrook barked at the genteel Thabo Sefolosha, took a shot so wild Scotty Brooks was forced to substitute, blew his stack while being counseled by Mo Cheeks, knocked over a chair and stormed off the court to the comfort of a Chesapeake Arena tunnel. ... However, Westbrook's ballplaying is not lacking. Heck, when Brooks reinserted Westbrook to start the fourth quarter, after he was benched for the final 7:54 of the third quarter, the Peter Pan point guard acted like nothing had happened. He played solid, and the Thunder spurted away again to blow open the game.

Lol at the title Westbrook was due for a temper tantrum. He can't take critism at all even if he knows he is wrong

Love the fire that he plays with. BUT... His decision making is and always will be suspect as a PG. Brooks is getting slighty better as a coach, but KD covers up what Brooks lacks as a coach, and what RW lacks as a PG.
Brooks was correct benching him.

The incident last night underlines one of the few things I dislike about RW. He is a hot head and it gets him and the team in trouble. He has got to learn to settle down, but he plays with a chip on this shoulder every game. A guy like that is going to hurt his team eventually...would I trade RW for anything? No, I don't think I would...but he has got to grow up. CNNSI did a pretty good job of summarizing what happened last night. I'm glad OKC got the win in spite of all the distraction caused by RW.

Agreed. I know he thinks he got the raw end of the deal his whole life from high school ball all the way to the NBA. But he has made it to the highest levels of the game...please play like it. the 'Chip on the Shoulder" mentality worked for the first few years, but now it is getting old.
