08:22 AM ET 02.01 | If everything's bigger in Texas, Stars fans should like the recall of defenseman Jamie Oleksiak. In addition to allowing the team's No. 1 prospect, Oleksiak, to make his NHL debut, the Stars also could be making a statement that they are prepared to get more physical. Drafted 14th in 2011, the 20-year-old Oleksiak (6-7, 254) is said to have a strong skating stride and a knack for reading the game. He also can throw a hit or two. ... Nicknamed "The Big Rig," he jumped up from junior hockey last season to become an AHL All-Star Game participant this year. He has played 43 games for the Texas Stars and has 23 points. Stars general manager Joe Nieuwendyk said he expected the towering defenseman to make his NHL debut Friday against Phoenix.

He's been fine. Brings his usual grit and fire. He isn't the problem with this team not putting the puck on net.
Sure would like to get Derek Roy back healthy. They were a much different team with him in there.
