Coyotes edge closer to relocating

08:24 AM ET 02.01 | The ice shook a bit under the feet of the Coyotes organization Thursday, when Greg Jamison failed to purchase the franchise. NHL Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly told The Arizona Republic that regardless of Thursday's deadline with the city, "The Coyotes will still be playing here tomorrow and our objectives will remain the same." ... Daly, in a radio interview on Hockey Night in Canada, maintained his commitment to Glendale, but acknowledged other cities could come into play. "We're closer to executing an alternative (plan) right now than we were five months ago," he said. Municipalities without NHL teams, including Seattle, Quebec City and Oklahoma City have been monitoring the situation in hopes that the franchise goes adrift from its desert home.

Channeling your inner Bob Eubanks DWI?

Reason #1,521 why Gary Bettman should be removed as Commissioner. Because of his ego, he won't admit that its better for the team to move, most likely to Quebec, because it will prove that his southern strategy was not a success. That's OK, we'll have another lockout in 8 years to support all the same bad markets that are in financial trouble that complained in the 2012-13 lockout...and the 2004-05 lockout....and the 1994-95 lockout.... It's like Groundhog Day!

The Macon Whopee are a now defunt former semi-pro team. Even better name than the Wheeling Nailers.

You're probably going to be even sorrier now. Classic clip.

Oklahoma City doesn't have enough people to support the Thunder long term (Metro area is only 1.2 million). If the teams moves, it should be to Seattle.

Once Durant's gone, the Thunder will become a relic.

But my question is how does this affect the Pens and their goalie situation?
