02:44 PM ET 02.01 | Phoenix Coyotes prospective buyer Greg Jamison failed to complete the purchase of the team by the Jan. 31 deadline and the city of Glendale is expected to pull the 20-year, 300 million-plus lease agreement deal from the table. The NHL released a statement regarding the situation on Friday explaining that they remain hopeful in moving the sale of the team forward and hope to resolve the situation. Of course, Jamison has attempted to complete this task for over a year and has still failed to secure the necessary finances to do so. With the arena deal off the table, the situation has taken a step back and has likely become more complicated. The Coyotes have been owned by the NHL since 2009.

so not only do they want to keep a money pit rolling out in phoenix...but the plan to keep them there involves having an owner that has to prostitute himself just to come up with a few bucks. It's 1 thing to have a money losing team run by a mega billionaire, it's quite another when the plan involves some wanna-be hustler that can't put two quarters together to make 50 cents.
