05:30 PM ET 02.01 | NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell met with media members Friday to discuss a number of different issues within the league, and not surprisingly, player safety was a popular topic. When asked what the NFL could do to help cut down on injuries in the future, Goodell said that coaches and players need to "focus on getting back to the fundamentals of tackling" and avoid leading with the head. Goodell said he wants to "take the head out of the game" and added that players leading with the head seemed to be less common in the past.

Revisionist history by Goodell. If he thinks players led with the head LESS back in the day he needs to watch tape of Jack Tatum.

When are folks gonna figure out thst godell is a " my way or highway"guy. Please stop trying to confuse the facts, or mention one on one dialogue with players. His superior intelligence and breeding out weighs anything a mere mortal could concieve.

Player safety? He should think about his own safety, as he's about to hire a murderer to be his assistant.
