08:57 PM ET 02.01 | During the early '90s, the San Francisco 49ers were the team to beat. Sure, they had their tough battles with the Dallas Cowboys, but eventually reigned supreme during the 1994-1995 NFC Championship game, as the 49ers won 38-28. No player had a bigger impact in that game than former 49ers quarterback Steve Young. A player known for both his scrambling ability and accurate arm, Young was the epitome of a mobile quarterback. However, he never had the luxury to play in a pistol formation like 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick. In fact, Young never took a single snap from the shotgun formation. Not one. Now, Young lets us know that he jealous of the 49ers offense under Kaepernick.

Times have changed, Don't be surprise next season to see Kaepernick's former coach at Nevada Reno hired by the niners to get more out of the pistol formation.

If you had to pick the better QB would it be Montana or Young? In their prime. I pick Young.

I liked Montana, young did an outstanding job with an aging Team!

Does that include all the extra injuries and missed playing time? Quarterbacks that run alot eventually get drilled (see RGIII & Vick).

The Old Niners had a lot of Energy, and their Coaches Demanded Excellance and that Group of Guys delivered, in their prime they were almost unbeatable! If free Agency were available the Team would h.ave been broken up, their was no cap in those days and players weren't able to make deals with other teams, they were pretty much limited, them and Bills were just about the last of the powerhouses the Cowboys got stuck in the new deal and were probaly the first team to be broken up by the modern free agent business, that started the hiring of accountants instead of scouts!!! Too bad they could have been the last fat team! That's about 20 years ago!!!
