11:12 AM ET 02.03 | The New York Jets do not plan to release quarterback Tim Tebow before the start of the new league year in March and instead will hold on to him with the hopes that they can trade him, according to league sources. But there is not expected to be much interest. In fact, one NFL general manager said this week: "I think his career is over without playing another position." The one team to express interest in Tebow last season, the Jacksonville Jaguars, is no longer interested. After a season with the Jets, Tebow finds that his prospects of starting in the NFL are dim.

What's the protocol on trading with CFL teams? I imagine there can't be any draft picks involved.

Could the J-E-T-S...Jets, Jets, Jets trade Tebow to Montreal for his weight in Canadian Bacon? That's fair, right?

Super Bowl Sunday and therefore, TEBOW TIME!!!!!!!!

It's kind of fitting that Tebow plays for the Jests. I mean, they have a history of QBs that are famous for not doing a whole helluva lot. (See: Namath, Joe)

The CFL is a different league.

Yep.

Montreal holds Tebow's CFL rights so he'd have to talk with them first. Montreal won't likely make the Tebow plunge though if it comes with the circus.

OK, Peyton is named 'Comeback player of the year' RGlll is Offensive rookie player of the year, Luke Kuechly the defensive rookie player, AP wins the MVP and JJ Watt the NFL Defensive player of the year, and we get Tebow.

Oh, yeah Arians is named 'Coach of the year' and it's a good thing he got it now, because he's now coaching the Cards.

The Jets are in a world of hurt. They are in deep do-do as far as salary cap room $19 million over for 2013. They have no QB that they are satisfied with. No one wants to trade for any of the players they are trying to unload.

Tebow, like him or not, deserves a chance to earn a starting spot with an NFL team.

Tebow threads are priceless.

I agree, but the media won't let that happen and Tebow did nothing to prevent it from happening!

Condolences.

Would draft picks be involved if all I wanted him for would be to be our "Big Foam Finger" guy?

No, He had bad pratice after bad, it's hardly a confidence builder to the coaches.

True but with the media watching and writing about his every move, like the second coming, we may never know if he can settle down and become steady.
