10:24 AM ET 02.03 | What?'s his defense? Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis -- who earned $7.2 million in 2011 -- couldn't spare a dime of it for his own charity, The Post has learned. Lewis, who is playing his last game in tonight's Super Bowl, set up two charities to polish his image after pleading guilty to obstruction of justice in 2000 in connection with a double homicide in Atlanta that year. He started the Ray Lewis Foundation in 2002, but the group lost its IRS tax-exempt status because it failed to file tax returns for three years. He opened the similarly named Ray Lewis Family Foundation in 2010. Charity officials did not respond to requests for comment.

So what?! He helped start it, and that's work enough.

Stop throwing dirt on Ray Ray!

That doesn't surprise me!

In the interest of fairness could we please have this same information on the other 105 players playing in this Super Bowl? While you're at it please also include the other 27 members of the coaching and training staffs. Oh, and don't forget the owners and their family too! Stop it! Just freakin' stop it!

Do you donate to a charity??? Usually the ones that don't are the ones that, "jack their jaws"!!! :-)

So what? It reinforces the perception that Uncle Ray Ray is a phony. He has done, and is doing nothing more than his handlers tell him to do in an effort to polish an image that is tarnished to say the least.

Oh and BTW, if you think Lewis did anything more than agreeing to have his name prop up said charity, you are truly naive.

"... failed to file tax returns for three years..." Guess they just forgot. It was his agents idea to begin with, to try to clean up his image after 2000. Some buy in to it, some do not. doubt he really cares at all.

Next up.....charity pays Lewis to use his name!!!

He still is a legitimate Hal of Fame candidate after he retires.

All he had to do was donate the limo with the blood of the dead victim in it to his charity to be auctioned off. It would have brought some start up money. What a tard.
