Sharks scouts to attend Rangers games

10:02 PM ET 02.03 | Andrew Gross tweeted today that some San Jose Sharks scouts were viewing their second New York Rangers game in a row. Is a trade possibly brewing? Personally I don't think anything is imminent. I don't see the Rangers trading any roster players at the moment (or any roster players of value). Scouts go to games all the time and a trade going down seems unlikely. There's a couple players on the Sharks I like, but I don't think the Rangers and Sharks exactly match up well in a trade. Very similarly structured in the contracts department in terms of cap hits. Also, both teams have the same needs as each other.

My guess would be they're looking at Gaborik or Nash. Either one would be a perfect playoff performer for the Sharks. ;-)
