Boomer Esiason: Ray Lewis wasn't truthful during trial

10:03 PM ET 02.03 | While Ray Lewis is playing in his last game ever, one of the biggest stories involves his 2000 murder trial and the outcome that ruled Lewis was not guilty of any legal wrong doing. While the courts made their ruling 13 years ago, many people still believe that Lewis got away with murder after two men were killed by his posse outside of an Atlanta bar. One of those men is CBS analyst Boomer Esiason, who openly claimed during the CBS pregame show that Lewis wasn't truthful during his murder trial and withheld information to ensure he wouldn't be convicted of the crime he was accused of committing. Boomer's comments only seem controversial because A) they could be true and, B) while he's echoing what millions of people already think, he's saying it on live television before the Super Bowl. Plus, Lewis is going to work for ESPN after he retires, so it's not like CBS' Boomer is gong to have to bump into Lewis on a regular basis.

So, Anna Burns Welker is TRUTH3.0?!?!?!

Boomer needs to realize that his role as an NFL analyst should not be used as a bully pulpit to disparage anyone. Whether Ray Lewis was truthful or not, is guilty or not, it is not right for him to use an NFL broadcast to make those kind of statements. He was hired to analyze the game and provide his opinions on it, not judge a person 13 years later...

So you are defending Ray Lewis?

No... I just find your rant pointless... The man was tried and not found guilty of murder... He pleaded guilty to an obstruction of justice charge...

His friends who ended up on trial for murder were actually acquitted by a jury...

Ray Lewis bought his trial just like OJ and thousands of other wealthy people. Of course now he breathes "Jesus" like every other convict and the morons that make up America go along and buy his jerseys. Just like 9/11, Americans are the only country to buy that story.

Since you can count the rings Boomer has on no fingers, that's how seriously we should take him.

Like it or not, Ray Lewis acquitted. Would Boomer have any evidence since he wasn't even there?
DA: And my next witness Your Honor is Mr. Boomer Esaison.
Judge: Who?
