Bad week gets worse for 49ers Culliver

08:03 AM ET 02.04 | As far as Super weeks go, 49ers corner Chris Culliver might want to rewind and play it all over again. The Ravens clearly targeted Culliver on their way to a 21-6 halftime lead. He and his colleagues in the secondary recovered in the second half, but Baltimore still emerged with a 34-31 victory in Super Bowl XLVII. Culliver's first-half struggles underscored a lingering reality about this 49ers defense, dating to Tom Brady's second-half outburst Dec. 16 in New England. ... San Francisco's secondary is vulnerable. The Ravens reached this conclusion, obviously, and they went one step further and identified Culliver, the 49ers' third cornerback, as the most vulnerable of all.

Whoever is responsible for the OL adjustments that the Ravens made in the last part of the season should get a raise. That was the key to protecting Flacco, and ultimately a big part of Flacco's incredible run.
