08:23 AM ET 02.04 | At long last, Ryan Kesler returned to practice -- as a player and a punchline of sorts. Kesler took to the ice in a Vancouver Canucks' full workout for the first time this season on Sunday. He led the opening stretch sequence, prompting both a rousing stick tapping from his teammates and Kevin Bieska to sneak up from behind him and drape a white cape with Kesler's No. 17 on over his back. ... He said that there was no timeline on his return, although he will be travelling with the team for the upcoming road trip, which sees them visit the Edmonton Oilers on Monday and the Minnesota Wild on Thursday. He said that he needed to work on his strength and timing and "feeling comfortable in one-on-one battles."

I like when Giroux, or any player for that matter, slams the Penalty Box Door, as if the ref will say: "Okay, you're right, I am sorry, come on out."

They then 'make up' by calling some faint penalty on the other team making themselves look worse.

Might just be that they are mad at committing the penalty and putting their team at a disadvantage.

And they know that yapping at the ref may result in a 2 min. unsportsmanlike call.
