03:04 PM ET 02.04 | The New York Rangers traded forward Mike Rupp to the Minnesota Wild for forwards Darroll Powe and Nick Palmieri on Monday afternoon. The addition of Rupp will add some needed size to the Minnesota roster, while Powe will likely be used to help improve the Rangers' special teams, specifically, on the penalty kill. In addition, New York lost two role players in Artem Anisimov and Brandon Dubinsky in the Rich Nash trade from this past offseason. The addition of Powe brings in a versatile forward capable of adding depth to the third or fourth line. Palmieri is currently playing in the American Hockey League and will report to the Connecticut Whale.

It reminds me of an olde Queen interview I saw (from when they first played in South America) and the interview kept calling him (Freddie mercury) Fred.

That's too bad. He'd have been great on a line with Bam! and Zonk!

It was for NJ, Talbot scored the cup winner.
I liked Rupp, I was sad he signed with NYR. Now I bet he is too being banished to the Wild.
