03:47 PM ET 02.04 | Vancouver Canucks goaltender Roberto Luongo will be making his fourth consecutive start for the team on Monday night against the Edmonton Oilers. Given the agressive nature of the trade chatter surrounding the 33-year-old netminder prior to the start of the season, some have been surprised at the amount of action Luongo has been receiving. More accurately, it is surprising the lack of playing time Cory Schneider has received given the belief that the team was moving into the future with him as the No. 1 goaltender. With rumors still circulating regarding Luongo, it has become clear that head coach Alan Vigneault is willing to start the man he believes can help the team win.

This has all the making of the PK Subban threads...is he signing or leaving. I guess Luongo is the flavour du jour.

Trade him to the Sharks! He'd be perfect! Win, win, win during the regular season and then .... collapse or disappear during the playoffs. Big Joe would really appreciate his talents.

I think Boston probably wins 4-2. It's going to be a big step up in quality, and I think that they'll stumble, just like they did last week versus Ottawa. Last week they showed up for the next 2 games and showed they can play for real. So, no matter how the game vs Boston goes, as long as they can learn from the game & then make sure to show up for the following games (against easier teams) and win those...I will be happy.

I'm interested to see how their power play holds up and I think that if the Habs are going to put up a good showing then they need to conitnue doing what has worked, which is having all 4 lines show up.

it's not that I want to see Luongo succeed...but I'm enjoying seeing him step up as the alpha after the collective media's groupthink essentially decided that Schenider was elite, although he never did anything of substance.

Winner takes over the top spot BGM. I'm looking forward to seeing an old fashioned Habs/Bruins matchup. With the Habs on top of course!
