08:11 AM ET 02.05 | Alex Rodriguez may believe he is the victim of a witch hunt. [Rodriguez] is taking his wildest swing yet in his fight against steroid allegations: The Yankees and MLB are conspiring to push him out of the game. Sources say the embattled Yankee star is "scared" that bigger forces are at work to try to discredit him and sink his career. Holed up in Miami, Rodriguez has been huddling with an army of lawyers and PR people as the performance-enhancing drug scandal enveloping him intensifies. "He's scared, because he thinks this is so unbelievably false, and he's wondering who could be behind this," said a source. ... The source added that Rodriguez is wondering if the Yankees or even Major League Baseball are behind the latest controversy.

Not completely unbelievable. He's been constantly injured, and unproductive when healthy. What the hell are these "PED's" doing?

So ..come out and deny it....the longer you stay silent ..the more guilty you look....personally I've had enough of this clown a these PED stories....If MLB,the players union and owners had any gonads they would do something real to deter it.....what I don't get is if MLB is saying these PED's are illegal in the game...then every contract should have a PED clause so the owner can void the contract....if your clean you have nothing to worry about.if your caught your done.......

Sure Point The finger at Everybody else!

ARod has a right to be concerned. Yanks are trying to weasel out of their contract. ARod is not likeable but I hope he gets every dime under his contract.

Yeah, this is a position that is taken up with most people who hate the Yankees. lol

I hope he doesn't get a dime. As long as the money owed still counts as far as the luxury tax number is concerned, I'll be happy.

He is not paranoid, everyone is out to get him.

Doesn't make it wrong. Don't wanna drown under bad contracts? Don't sign bad contracts.

QUOTE(#16):

True..but he has likely voided that contract if he did take PED'sOn one hand the Yankees knew what they were getting when they signed him and the risk that comes with it. On the other, if he cheated he doesn't deserve any money

I forgot the part in the bargaining agreement that says if you're caught using PEDs, you get suspended 50 games for your first published-in-an-obscure-publication-based-on-hearsay-by-weird-people and have your contract voided. Please highlight that part for me.

If not, stop making this an issue. The Yankees signed A-Rod to a contract for a lot of years for a lot of money. And even if he tested positive, caught red-handed, he would not be in violation of his contract as far as I know, and no currently-negotiated MLB rules would give the Yankees any type of precedent to void it's remaining years.
