03:53 PM ET 02.05 | The Colorado Avalanche claimed forward Aaron Palushaj off waivers from the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday afternoon. Montreal had placed the forward on waivers with the intention of sending him to their American Hockey League affiliate, the Hamilton Bull Dogs. Of course, that opportunity never presented itself given the Avalanche's claim. Palushaj started the year on injured reserve due to a shoulder injury and was medically cleared on Feb. 3. Over the course of 41 career NHL games, Palushaj has compiled one goal and four assists for a total of five points. In 21 games with Hamilton this season, he has recorded seven goals and three assists for 10 points.

With Chelios Jr back in the fold the team is now one of destiny.

But they should have asked for The O'Brien in exchange.

They didn't because The Avery might be available for a spit bucket.

They hope a swim with the Sharks will bring back some urgency to his game. Problem is the Sharks go into hibernation at the end of the regular season, which is like ..... what? .... four weeks away?

I watched the Avs last night and from what I saw if the kid keeps up his current pace, he'll be a star on the team.

This is where the MUCH MALIGNED KING OF HOCKEY is misunderstood.

The Avery will do anything to help his team win.

Whatever it takes.

Such a leader he is.

Like writing articles about womens fashion, while his teammates work their butts off to better themselves for the next season?
