Patriots hesitant to offer Aqib Talib multi-year contract

06:12 PM ET 02.05 | The New England Patriots are hesitant to give cornerback Aqib Talib a multi-year contract, according to a staff report at Comcast SportsNet New England. Talib, who the Patriots acquired from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in November, is set to be a free agent in March. According to the story, Talib "displayed no behavioral problems during his time with the Patriots" but the team is still worried about a multi-year contract.

All I know is that they were a better secondary when he was in the lineup.

Yep... Regardless of the fact he can be a total knucklehead he definitely improved that defensive backfield.

I thought he added a great deal of flexibility to the pats defense! He really helped them out!

No question that the secondary improved significantly when he started playing and when he went out with the injured leg in the AFC Championship game it was right back to square one.

He was good for you when he was playing, but he seems a bit brittle

He's not really that good, Go look at his over all career numbers, and not just the last few weeks in New England!
