07:44 PM ET 02.05 | The Detroit Lions are continuing to overhaul their roster and have cut yet another player, informing defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch that he has been released by the team. Vanden Bosch's release comes less than 24 hours after the Lions severed ties with troubled wide receiver Titus Young and the same day the club informed offensive tackle Stephen Peterman that he is also out of a job. Vanden Bosch's release shouldn't come as too big of a surprise, as the Lions are in serious need of some cash if they want to avoid gutting their roster entirely. Fellow defensive end Cliff Avril will need to be re-signed this offseason and the Lions are working out a long-term deal for quarterback Matthew Stafford as well. There's also now the matter of signing a wide receiver now that Young has been cut and the depth at the position is insanely thin.
