Kaman: Concussion test is stupid

07:44 PM ET 02.05 | Chris Kaman hasn't recovered from a concussion suffered on Jan. 28. Not only does the Dallas big man still feel symptoms of his head hitting the ground during a practice more than a week ago, but Kaman doesn't understand why he can't fight through it. Kaman was critical of the NBA's concussion protocol tests, ones that he has yet to pass and will take again on Wednesday. Dallas plays the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday night, but Kaman might not play until Saturday's matchup against Golden State, even if he passes the tests on Wednesday. The Mavs center told the Dallas Morning News that he understands the risks and severity of concussions, but he accused the NBA protocol of overlooking his own desire to return to the court. "It's the stupidest test ever. For so many years in the NBA, they never had to do that stuff and now they come up with all that concussion protocol crap. It's not cool, but it is cool, I guess. It keeps people safe. I just try to do the right things and wait until I can pass the test."
